Throughout history, the rhino has resonated with various cultures and spiritual traditions. Recognizable for its distinctive physical attributes such as its massive size, sturdy build and majestic horn, the rhino is often depicted as a symbol of unmatched physical power and resilience.
It has also been a prevalent theme in art, showcasing its symbolic importance in various cultural expressions. From intricate carvings to elaborate paintings, the rhino’s presence in artistic depictions also illustrates the deeply rooted significance of this majestic creature in the cultural narratives of various societies.
Red Rhino Restaurant and Bar located at The HUB, Mayflower Street, Greenfield District, Mandaluyong City, brings together over 30 artists who pay homage to these magnificent creatures through an exhibition of painted rhino sculptures which features works by Raul Isidro, Aileen Lanuza, Vince de Pio, Kat Cuenca, Richard Arimado, Jo Balbarona, Jomike Tejido, Jomar Delluba, Almer Moneda and Fitz Herrera. “Stomp to the Music - The Art Exhibit” launches on September 29, 2025, 4PM to 7PM at Red Rhino Restaurant and Bar.
Together with this exhibit are paintings using the Rhino as a subject as well as paintings of artists focused on the theme of music. Red Rhino Art Bar and Restaurant is a venue not only for the country's most exciting and pulsating bands and a restaurant featuring unique, creative drinks and liquor. but also an art gallery. Together with this exhibit of Rhino sculptures are paintings on music done by major artists like Jomar Deluba, Aljo Pingol, Abra Pingol, Reybert Ramos as well as a mural by the Saturday Group of Artists.
