“The Star is My Blanket and Held Even Now”, a duo exhibition by Gabby Prado and Tammy De Roca at Galerie Joaquin Podium 💫

The exhibit is on view from July 24 to August 4, 2025 with the Artists’ Reception on July 30, Wednesday at 5 PM.

Presented alongside Prado’s meditative works, Tammy De Roca’s paintings offer a resonant counterpoint, continuing the exhibit’s mental dialogue on presence and impermanence. De Roca’s pieces explore the traces left by relationships, as well as the emotional residue that lingers long after encounters fade—of what not to force and what only to accept. Working with fluid gestures and thick swaths of acrylic, she builds dreamlike forms that seem to hover between emergence and dissolution, embodying the delicate balance between holding on and letting go. Her palette—muted yet luminous—further underscores the sense of fleetingness, as if each image is a breath away from disappearing.
