Unjected's Spike-Free Swim Party at Big Falls!

UPDATE::: A GROUP OF US ARE GOING UP AND WILL BE CAMPING AT THE PARK HERE STARTING FRIDAY AUGUST 8 PROBABLY UNTIL MONDAY AUGUST 11th. THAT IS OPTIONAL OUTSIDE OF THIS MAIN EVENT, BUT FEEL FREE TO HIT ME UP TO COORDINATE TO CAMP WITH US AS WELL!

Come on out for a day of hiking, swimming, sunbathing on the flat rocks & a picnic potluck by the water. Maybe an impromptu sing-a-long! ♫

There are 30-40 picnic tables that are first come/first serve.

There is a museum too if you like! 🤩

- Rock Climbing to the Big Falls Swimming Hole

The Ranger said this is an “8 out of 10 in difficulty of climbing the rock to get to the swimming hole”

(If one goes past BFSH the alternate trail forks - go along the river to swim another spot, but that isn’t where we are going.)

- Grilling / fires

Designated areas only! No cooking in the archeological site ( that is one of two actual archaeological sites in Tennessee - pretty cool!)

There are actually 30-40 picnic tables, each with their own charcoal grill ( and fire rings if staying at a campsite).

If you decide to camp (OPTIONAL):

- Camping fees vary between $30. & $36. a night (prio to tax).

- All sites are paved (no primitive sites) with water, electric, picnic table, grill, and fire ring, and camp can be used with a tent, rv or camper.

- 7 people per site + children 6 and under ( - children 6 years and under are not included in that count).

- It’s about a 5 min drive from Big Falls Swimming Hole to the other side of the river.

Verizon reports that there is adequate cell phone service at the location (other carriers unknown).
