About the event

The Roaring Twenties
Manchester resident Dr. Jason Scappaticci, also known as “The Bow Tie Historian”, will lead a dynamic, engaging lecture that brings the Roaring Twenties to life. Scappaticci, who has his MA in American Studies from Trinity College and PhD from Wilmington College in Delaware and is the Dean of Student and Faculty Affairs at Capital Community College, has a passion for history and enjoys sharing that passion with others. The decade that brought us jazz, flappers, and the crossword puzzle also brought us gangsters, prohibition, and presidential scandals and tragedy. Come learn how our modern society was affected by the great changes to America in the 1920's. Free program - no registration required.
