Springtime Nature Journals & Children's Nature Walk

Let’s step into the magic of spring together! This guided nature walk is specially designed for children and families to explore the beauty of the season while learning to identify wild plants native to Michigan. We’ll slow down, observe the world around us, and discover the colors, textures, and stories of the plants waking up after winter. From tiny wildflowers to budding trees, each stop along the trail is a chance to connect with nature and spark curiosity.

First, we'll meet in the City Room at 2PM to receive a FREE pocket nature journal and get tips on creating inspiring nature journals. Next, we will all drive over to the Leonard Nature Preserve (located in town) to explore the nature trails!

Perfect for little explorers of all ages, this walk blends fun, education, and hands-on discovery. Come dressed for the weather, bring your sense of wonder, and get ready to meet the wild green world of spring!
