From secret bars and underground parties to the explosion of queer clubbing in the ‘90s, Queerchester charts the rise of Manchester’s LGBTQ+ scene and the battles faced along the way.

Expect rare footage from iconic venues like Manto, Danceteria, Paradise Factory, Flesh and The Haçienda, and hear from the people who shaped the city’s queer nightlife.

🎥 Followed by a live conversation with filmmaker Mark and narrator Kate O’Donnell — reflecting on the scene’s past, present, and future.
