Brought to you by Slam Free or Die, a weekly poetry open mic and slam in Manchester, The Nerd Slam blends nerd poetry with nerd trivia from diverse fandoms: gaming, sci-fi&fantasy, comics, geeklit, and nerd lore. This is not a poetry competition; the contest is 100% nerd trivia, but we celebrate the nerdy side of poetry by having each contestant do a nerd poem. Contestants compete in the trivia competition and read a nerd poem (original or by someone else) as they are eliminated. The Nerd Slam Champion will win a trove of super nerdy prizes! Think you’re nerd enough? Sign up to compete at the event.
