Mujeres ¡Presentes! The Secret Songs of Women Latina Composers

The Instituto Cervantes Manchester, in collaboration with The Iberian and Latin American Music Society, is pleased to present the concert ‘Mujeres ¡Presentes! The Secret Songs of Women Latina Composers’, a concert featuring the celebrated soprano Lorena Paz Nieto and the pianist Helen Glaisher-Hernández. A unique occasion to enjoy the compelling voices of Ibero-american women composers, spanning three centuries across the Latin world, including Spain, Cuba, Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil and Mexico.

Lorena Paz Nieto is an award-winning Spanish soprano and graduate of the GSMD, RAM and the National Opera Studio.

Helen Glaisher-Hernández is a British-Hispanic pianist, part of a new generation of Latinx practitioners elucidating the cultural diversity of classical music.
