You are invited to join us at the next Ableton User Group Meeting taking place at Spirit Studios in Manchester!
From complete beginners to the more experienced, the Ableton User Group is designed to facilitate ongoing collaboration between all types of music makers, artists and creatives, regardless of what stage they are at in their musical journey.
For this meeting User Group Member Harry Marshall has kindly offered to do a session on mixing in Ableton Live!
Harry is an experienced producer, session musician, and engineer of 5 years. His collaborators include Jon Coley, Orlagh Niamh, Caitlin Snape, and Kemani Anderson. As a mix engineer, he primarily works in the singer-songwriter genre, along with some funk, soul, and RnB.
For this demonstration, he will unpack project files from just-released songs, remixed to leverage as much of Live's stock plugins and features as possible. Already use Ableton to produce and want get more out of it? Or use a different DAW to mix your tracks, and want to do it all in one place? This talk is for you!
For the second session I'm planning on doing a quick-fire-round of demos based off recent questions and requests. I've made a start collecting some recent questions however if there's anything you'd like me to cover please drop me a message! It can be anything from equipment setup, Ableton questions, sound design or sound recreations. I look forward to hearing your suggestions!
Note for this session we're doing a Sunday Afternoon Slot:
Arrival and introductions from 11:30 for a 12:00 (midday) start.
The session will finish around 14:00 however if we get in the flow we can continue for a bit longer! There will also be the chance for further networking, socialising and collaboration afterwards with plenty of opportunity for Q&A.
As always, entry is Free for everyone - however we do ask you to RSVP as there are limited spaces in the venue and we will require your names for the studio sign-in system.
