What is Blues Dance?
Blues dance is an expressive and improvisational partner and solo dance deeply rooted in African-American culture and history. Developed alongside Blues music, it is characterised by grounded movements, fluidity, and a strong emphasis on musicality and connection. Blues dance celebrates individuality, encouraging dancers to interpret the music in their own unique way while forming a connection with their partner. It’s a beautiful blend of history, emotion, and creativity, suitable for anyone who loves to move to the rhythm of the music.
