We’re bringing a little literary magic to Manchester.
After sold-out nights in New York, we’re so excited to host our beloved bookshop social in one of Manchester’s most cherished literary gems—House of Books & Friends.
If you’ve ever dreamed of meeting someone among shelves of stories and the scent of coffee… this one’s for you.
Looking for love, friendship, or something beautifully in between? We’ve got you.
This is a slow, soulful evening of wine, coffee, and conversations that flow like your favourite novel.
At BODA, we celebrate all kinds of love — romance, friendship, community.
This is your invitation to show up as you are — to meet kind, curious singles who love books, ideas, and the quieter kind of magic. Come for the potential dates, stay for the besties you didn’t know you needed.
It’s not speed dating — it’s slower, softer, and so much more meaningful.
Here’s what to expect:
SINGLES ONLY — A relaxed, intentional and safe space (no couples, no pressure)
- A drink of your choice — coffee, tea, wine, or beer
- A book swap with someone you’ve connected with - it doesn't have to be anything romantic, can just be a new pal
- A warm welcome from our BODA hosts — we’re here to make it easy for you to get the most out of the night
- A night of connection — expect great chats, unexpected sparks, and friendships
Choose your chapter:
6:00PM – 7:30PM
8:00PM – 9:30PM
Bring your favourite book to swap, your beautiful self, and an open heart.
Need to know:
• Tickets are non-refundable & non-transferable.
• If you’re reselling, your ticket must go to someone with the same pronoun as on your booking.
• By joining us, you’re happy for us to capture some of the magic on photo & video for social.
