Acclaimed art-rockers, Billy Wylder, return to Earth Sky Time for their annual self styled Moonshine Music Festival on the farm. Billy Wylder's music bridges continents and cultures and features rock star desert blues guitar, soaring fiddle, psychedelic synth lines, and a tight super funky rhythm section. The band is led by Avi Salloway (Bombino) who has toured across six continents including concerts at Coachella and Carnegie Hall. Salloway has performed and collaborated with Jack Johnson, David Longstreth (Dirty Projectors), The Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and Pete Seeger.
“Art rock band Billy Wylder carry the torch of the niche dug out by Talking Heads and their groundbreaking album "Remain in Light." -WBUR
This year they are joined by SHEBAD hailing from Ontario, Canada. Their music plays on the exploratory realm of Indie Soul, characterized by jazz-influenced melodies, danceable basslines, and Claire Joy’s transcendent voice. SHEBAD’s sound is a synthesis of influences like Stevie Wonder, Hiatus Kaiyote, Amy Winehouse, Daft Punk, and Erykah Badu, making the music compelling and curious with lyrics from the heart. CBC’s Laila Biali aptly describes their sound as “Music that exists in a sonic world of its own”.
