Beginner's Watercolour Class
Join us for a creative session where we'll learn colour theory, tonal values, simple sketching, and various watercolour techniques. Suitable for all skill levels.
Materials: Watercolor paints: Warm and cool blue, red, and yellow will be sufficient. Watercolour pad/ paper, pointed brushes, water cup. Feel free to bring photos if you prefer to paint from reference photos. Instructor's Tip Paints can be purchased in a tube or palette, I recommend starting with student grade paints and buying them individually rather than in a set the quality of paints in a set are generally of poor quality . The three colors you must have are the primary colors red, blue, and yellow. Pick one of each that speaks to you. I love Rose Madder, Prussian Blue, and Naples Yellow. If you would like to purchase additional paints, the most useful colors would be Payne's Gray, Burnt Sienna, Burnt Umber, and Raw Umber.
