Author Event with Madison Rene

Madison has lived all over the United States, from the southeastern shores of Florida to the opposite western waters of California. She now resides in Vermont with her daughter and husband, whom she loves dearly. Both are an inspiration to her to pursue her dreams and career of writing.

Madison has wanted to pursue a career in creating stories since she was four! She asked her mother what a person was called that created pictures for books, and from that moment decided that she would be an illustrator. While she still has a love for drawing, she has gravitated more toward writing the stories in her heart rather than drawing them. She wrote her first short story at nine years old, and has been writing stories ever since.

Currently she is hard at work writing the conclusion to the Legends of Danaeca duology, raising her daughter and two kittens, and reading lots of fantasy novels in her spare time.

Being empress has been anything but easy for Nevia Bylilly, who left the only life she knew as a primitive clanswoman from the northern mountains of Zenoch to immerse herself in the industrial imperial capital of Velspire. Empress Nevia’s reign over her late husband’s empire has been plagued with death. Grotesque abominations existing only in legend–so-called “Night Creatures”–have been descending upon Danaeca and razing everything in their path, the forever burning core shards seemingly their goal. Yet the people, including King Qirin, are unwilling to discontinue pulling from the life-altering energy source, regardless of the blood it costs them.

Frantic, Nevia seeks to ease the suffering surrounding her, yet gives pause when she discovers a startling truth about herself, suggesting that she may very well play a contributing role in the destruction. After her darkness stirs and she hurts someone dear, her trusted allies shrink away, including the man whom she thought she loved.

Only Saava’s golden promise of restoration spurs Nevia forward to Gaia’s Core where the goddess has slept for a millennium, yet Nevia is unprepared for the very grim reality that she is about to unveil.
