The Art of Contradiction
Lübeck Art Studio, located at Nobelvägen 94B in Malmö, Sweden, is the creative space of artist Zlatko Vasic aka (C.W. Lübeck). His work is known for its confrontational and expressive style, often exploring themes that are both personal and global. One of his notable series, "The Phases of Rammstein," delves into complex narratives through abstract expressionism. In addition to his studio, Lübeck Art Studio maintains an online presence on platforms like Facebook, where they share updates and engage with the art community.
In an era of crises and uncertainty, the question of the role of utopia is brought to a head: Is it a necessary vision that creates hope and inspires change, or a dangerous illusion that leads astray?
Idealized visions of perfect societies have always inspired dreams of a better world. While some long for the past, others dream of a new world order.
In the globalising society that we live in, categorising people by nationality reflects mental laziness, a judgement based on superficial appearances rather than a deeper understanding of an individual’s background. It is an intellectual shortcut, because the search for the truth is often more complicated and dangerous than identifying a national boundary.
Today, the individual has unprecedented opportunities for communication with people in the most remote parts of the world, and technology has endowed us with powerful possibilities for self-expression through artwork, colour, sound, movement, light, rhythm, poetry and prose. Change is inevitable.
Hidden truth, human dangerousness, loneliness, delivery, Our time of installation madness, vapitdity, brainwashing, anarchy in the world of politics, greed of multinational companies, generations’ superficiality, general selfishness, Multinational stupidity and national idiotism, war, disappearance of individuality and self-analysis …
First of all, when a person is born as an artist, that person already belong to the alienation because he or she is different from their peers. They think in a way that is incomprehensible from the vast majority of people. Their way of acting, speaking, joking, creating – generally communicating – and, in particular, their ability to see what others cannot – makes them dangerous to society and to the environment in which they live.
That is why the artist is always part of alienation. It is a gift that society with all consciousness throw away.
