☀️ A WARM WELCOME to join the second edition of Bachata Weekend in Malmö. During two whole days, we will dive into the Caribbean ocean of culture with a main focus on the Dominican Republic🇩🇴
💡Did you know that the Dominican Republic is the motherland of Bachata and Merengue? Did you know that both music and dances are inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO?🇩🇴
If you have always wanted to learn the roots of bachata and enjoy this amazing dance but didn't know how or when here's your chance! We are super excited to announce our bachata teachers!
Moving on in the Caribbean we also have music and dance from the beautiful islands of Cuba 🇨🇺 and Haiti 🇭🇹
🇨🇺Cuba is known for its rich culture of music and dance, not only Salsa or Casino but also Son and Bolero. We will have the pleasure of learning the real deal from two amazing Cuban dancers!
🇭🇹Haiti is sharing the island Hispaniola with the Dominican Republic and despite their differences, they have some things in common, i.e. the music and dance of Merengue/ Meringue. We have the honor to welcome back Malmö and Sweden's best-known Konpa teacher to get those hips working!
