Liam Grant's first show in Malmö is presented by Record Turnover and Hypnos between back to back screenings of the 1975 cult flick PICNIC AT HANGING ROCK. Sunday, May the 4th be with you is our Music and a Movie event. Based in New England, Liam Grant is a guitarist with a punk ethos, cut from the American Primitive cloth and evoking the landscape where he was raised. He recently released his second widely-available LP, ‘Prodigal Son’, via VHF (self-proclaimed ‘greatest record label in the world’). The album is a portrait of an artist on the road, changing fast, recording things as they spring from the fountain. The sound here is raw – grass and dirt instead of prefab; homemade/handmade instead of high-tech.
