Recognizing, Diagnosing, and Managing the Uncommon Symptoms of ADHD
This training provides a thorough examination of both traditional and uncommon symptoms of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). While ADHD is commonly associated with symptoms like inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity, individuals may also present with less recognized symptoms such as emotional dysregulation, sensory sensitivities, and executive functioning difficulties. Through a combination of lecture and interactive exercises, participants will enhance their ability to accurately diagnose and effectively manage ADHD in diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults.
Learning Objectives:
1. Recognize the common and uncommon symptoms of ADHD, such as emotional dysregulation, sensory processing issues, and difficulties with executive functioning.
2. Understand how these lesser-known symptoms impact diagnosis and treatment across different age groups, particularly adults and females.
3. Learn evidence-based strategies for managing ADHD symptoms through therapeutic interventions and practical techniques.
4. Adapt Techniques to Diverse Populations: Develop skills to tailor ADHD management strategies to meet the unique needs of various populations, including children, adults, and individuals with co-occurring conditions.
