Join us for a technically challenging hike filled with breath-taking views of the Hekpoort Magalies Mountains and surrounding landscape at the Rustig Hiking Trail. Just be warned, there’s nothing ‘rustig’ about the Rustig Hiking Trails…

Trail Options:
Die Witstinkhout Trail (R75 pp / R35 for 12yrs and younger):
5km - Generally considered a moderately challenging hike.
A beautiful and scenic hike. There are some steep areas along this trail, but this makes for beautiful views over the landscape. The trail also leads to a cave with a trickle of water. The descent is very steep. Average hiking time for this trail is 3 hours.
The Karee Trail (R90 pp)
NO Children under 13 years old allowed
9-12km - Generally considered a difficult hike.
The trail will take us to the top of the mountain. You will encounter a few steep sections, climb a few ladders, walk over a wooden bridge, and experience spectacular views of the southern slopes of the Magaliesberg mountain range.
A Pre-booking and payment required.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the wild animals on the property especially the baboons regrettably not pets are allowed.
NOTE: There is a 2km stretch of dirt road leading to the venue that is not well maintained.
Note: Self-supported walk, please remember to bring your own hydration / snacks.
REMEMBER: Hat and sunscreen
