About the event

Work Party - summer invasive removal
In July we shift focus from spring invasives to a different group of plants, typically porcelainberry, invasive Himalayan pokeweed, Japanese hedge parsley, burdock, mullein and cut and treat the common wood invasives, buckthorn and honeysuckle. Most of this work is in the wooded areas of the park.

No prior training or experience is needed. We will show you how to identify the plants and give you lots of practice. Everyone is welcome! No tools needed. Consider wearing long sleeves and long pants and sturdy shoes for easy off-trail walking. Bring work gloves if you want them as well as drinking water and sunscreen.
