The Southern Indiana Folk School @ The Jefferson County History & Art Center (615 W. 1st Street, Madison, IN 47250)
Join us for a special hands-on class focused on the timeless art of Shaker box construction! Taught by local artisan Cindy Kerr, this workshop will guide you through the traditional methods of crafting your own beautiful, functional shaker box to take home.Whether you're a seasoned woodworker or just getting started, this class is a great opportunity to learn a new skill in a fun, relaxed setting.
Class size is limited to just 6 participants—register early to secure your spot!
All Materials are included. We will provide basic safety glasses and an N95 dust mask. If you require something stronger bring it. Please wear long pants (denim preferred), close toe shoes, sleeves ¾ length or shorter. Long hair should be tied back.
Instructor Bio:
Cindy Kerr is a veteran wood worker and teacher. She is an active member of Southeastern Indiana Makers Plus (SEIMP) and the Southeastern Indiana Wood Turners groups.
