About this Event

About this class:

Paper marbling is fun, and while it looks complex, it is relatively easy to do. In this class, Wisconsin printmaker and artist Tori Tasch will teach you marbling terms, patterns, and common tools you can use to create 10 unique marbled pieces that you can take home with you.

About the instructor:

Tori Tasch is a printmaker, papermaker and book artist. She supported artists as a mentor resident at RedLine Milwaukee for 7 years while teaching in the public school system (15 years) and at St. Bruno’s Parish School 10 years. In addition, Tasch has been a resident artist at the Lynden Sculpture Garden, StayHome, Artsplace, and Oklahoma State University Museum of Art. Participating in residency programs allows her to fulfill the need to work in the studio with the need to be involved.

Tori has a BFA from Carroll University and a long track record of teaching, exhibitions, and awards. Tasch’s sculptural books have been exhibited extensively throughout the US, in addition to Japan, Mexico, France, and Canada. Her work is included in private collections at the Brooklyn Art Library, UW- Milwaukee Special Collections, and the Saitama Art Museum.

Tasch is a Past President of both Wisconsin Visual Artists and Milwaukee Area Teachers of Art, she continues to serve as a Board member for both organizations.

In addition, Tasch is a resident artist at the community-based print shop Studio 224 in Port Washington, Wisconsin where she is immersed in papermaking and exploring print processes. She lives in Merton with her husband and dog where she draws inspiration from daily walks along the river, gardening and bike riding the Bugline.
