Poetry on Tap with Open Mic and guest poet Andrew Chi Keong Yim, hosted by Richard Vargas

Once a month, Minocqua Brewing Company and our friend, Richard Vargas, host a Poetry on Tap night. If you are interested in sharing any of your personal work, or some of your favorite poems during the open mic section, please arrive between 6:30-7pm to sign up for a 5 minute reading time. Open Mic participants will start the evening off at 7pm and following we will feature our special guest.

This month, we are lucky to host, Andrew Chi Keong Yim. You can learn more about him here:
Andrew Chi Keong Yim was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. He was awarded the 2024 New Voices Award in Poetry from Washington Square Review, selected by Terrance Hayes. His poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in Best New Poets, 32 Poems, Washington Square Review, Bat City Review, and AAWW's The Margins. He has been a public school teacher in Boston and New York City, and has taught at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and with the Wisconsin Prison Humanities Project.
