Capturing the Seasons: Leaf Printing and Flower Pounding

Savor the abundance of Madison’s long and spectacular autumn by learning two ways to capture the color and texture of flowers and leaves. The techniques we will use are low cost using everyday household materials. Each technique has advantages. Flower pounding can best capture the intensity of the color of flowers such as cosmos.

Leaf printing is best for capturing delicate textures like that of a ginkgo. If you have specific leaves and flowers you want to try, bring them. Otherwise we will supply all materials and equipment.
