340B and the Financial Sustainability of Healthcare Organizations

For more than 30 years, the 340B Drug Pricing Program has provided financial help to hospitals serving vulnerable communities to manage rising prescription drug costs. In a time when the healthcare system has been challenged in many ways, it has become abundantly clear that hospital 340B programs are critical to help hospitals and healthcare systems, especially in rural areas, stay afloat. This discussion will cover recent state and federal advocacy efforts and Ph*rm*cy initiatives regarding 340B sustainability as healthcare providers continue to face operational, reimbursement, and environmental challenges.
