Mackay Musical Comedy Players & McKays Solicitors Present: Footloose the Musical

MMCP, who brought you the smash hits The Addams Family, Mamma Mia, Shrek and Chicago – presents Footloose – the story of Ren who moves from Chicago to a small farming town, prepared for the inevitable adjustment at his new school.

But he’s not prepared for the rigorous local ban on dancing instituted by the preacher, who is determined to exercise control over the town’s youth. When the reverend’s rebellious daughter, Ariel, sets her sights on Ren, trouble ensues as Ren and his new country friend Willard try to convince the Reverend to let the teenagers dance, and in the process help the town to heal from tragedy.

Footloose celebrates the exhilaration of youth and the power of forgiveness and includes the smash hits Holding Out for a Hero, Let’s Hear It For the Boy, Almost Paradise and Footloose.
