🌿 Rewilding Taster Day at Cefn Coed Wild Camping 🌿

Join us for a full day of hands-on rewilding activities in the heart of Cefn Coed’s Ancient Oak Woodland and Temperate Rainforest. Whether you're staying at the site or just in the area, this is your chance to reconnect with nature, learn ancestral skills, and explore the wild with expert guide Kara Moses—a passionate wild living educator with a focus on foraging, tracking and connecting with trees.
🗓️ Schedule of Drop-in Workshops/Guided Classes:
🌿 9:00–10:00am Introduction to Wild Food Foraging (1 Hour) - £12
Kick off your day with a lively, whistle-stop tour of the wild edibles growing across the Cefn Coed site. You’ll be introduced to key edible species, learn how to spot them in the landscape, and hear quick tips on their uses and potential risks. A fun and informative taster to awaken your wild senses.
🍄 10:30–12:30am
Wild Food Foraging Walk (2 Hour) - £24
This immersive two-hour walk offers a deeper dive into the edible landscape. Learn to confidently identify a range of wild plants and fungi, explore their nutritional, medicinal, and ecological roles, and practice ethical harvesting—while learning to spot and avoid toxic lookalikes.

Wild Food Cooking & Preserving Workshop – £28
Turn foraged foods into delicious, long-lasting treats. Make pickles, pestos, butters, juices, salts, and more—then take home your own wild preserve!
🐾 4:30–6:30pm
Wildlife Tracking Workshop – £24
Learn to read the hidden signs of animals all around us. Discover tracks, trails, and clues that tell the stories of wildlife living in the woods—and change the way you see the natural world forever.
☕ The onsite café will be open all day serving fresh coffee, herbal teas, and pastries, perfect for refuelling between sessions.
