Canine Good Citizen Preparation class

Get your dog ready to pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Test with our focused, 6-week training series! This class is designed to teach you and your
dog all the skills required for the official CGC certification.
Class Details
* When: Saturdays, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM (1 hour)
* Dates:
* Training Classes (5 weeks): October 11, 18, 25, November 1, 8
* Official CGC Test: Saturday, November 15
* Locations:
* All classes will be at the Barrier Island Center
* Exception: The November 1 class will be at the Tractor Supply in Onley, VA (for real-world practice!)
* Cost: $170.00 (Payment is due on the first day of class, October 11)
Skills We'll Master
We'll work on all 10 components of the CGC test, including:
* Politely accepting a friendly stranger and petting
* Loose-leash walking ("Out for a Walk")
* Walking through a crowd
* Reliable "Sit," "Down," and "Stay"
* Coming when called
* Supervised separation
* Appropriate reactions to other dogs and distractions

Training is led by AKC Evaluator Anna Malik with Assistant Instructors Claudia Martines and Linda Haberman.
