It’s the 1830s and The Erie Canal has changed everything. Business, invention, travel… it’s all exploding with excitement and Macedon is in the middle of the action.
But what about life for the young? What if you were one of Canawl kids?
Join us for some interactive excitement as we experience the chores, games, schooling, food and dangers of a kid living on The Erie Canal. Saturday, May 17th, 2025 11:00 am - 12:00 noon Historic Macedon Academy 1185 Macedon Center Road, Macedon, NY 14502 Parking is available at the Methodist Church 2 houses to the West of the Academy Refreshments will be available. SPONSORED BY THE FRIENDS OF THE MACEDON PUBLIC LIBRARY co-hosted with the 1816 Farmington Quaker Meetinghouse Museum and the Farmington Historical Society.
