On the evening of August 1, while trying to halter a colt, Mikal Reeder was unexpectedly cow-kicked. Thanks to the quick action of nearby friends, he was rushed home and then to the hospital, where he was transferred by ambulance to Tyler. Doctors discovered a tibia plateau fracture, which required a 2½-hour surgery and will keep him off his feet for 12 weeks.
Anyone who knows Mikal knows he’s not one to sit still. As the sole provider for his family and a man who would do anything for anyone, it’s now our turn to rally around him and his loved ones.
We’re hosting a two-day benefit to support Mikal and his family:
