Al-Wah’at (Ailo Ribas, Gabriella Demczuk and Areej Ashhab) present their practice. Blood colors the bark of a sacred tree and spills onto a cactus hedge. Two myths--separated by an ocean and a thousand years--weave together two sites in the village of Ein Qiniya in Palestine through its color red. By harvesting, dyeing, printing and embroidering, these communal practices bring together stories of dispossession and resistance, resilience and ritual.

Luca Gerry Conte presents the development of Solve et Coagula, work part of the research How to Build Intertwining Food Narratives, supported by Italian Council 2024. Conte approaches art as a participant in spatial and social ecosystems. Each element of his work, whether image, medium, or structure, belongs to a broader ecology: a logos of nature embedded in space. His research aims at unfolding the work’s life in space and time, while channeling a multi sensorial experience that informs an ecological consciousness within a lived space.
