Avanced Dutch (De Finale Chapter 5-8)
Join our B2 part 2 Dutch course when you can already use your Dutch quite a bit, but want to expand your conversation topics and use more elaborate sentence structures. This course is intended for students who finished the B1 courses and the B2 part 1 course. It’s also a perfect preparation for the Staatsexamen II.
We make sure to have an enjoyable mix of speaking activities, vocabulary building, improving listening skills and grammar. Writing exercises are usually homework. You can send them to the teacher for correction and we also discuss them in class.
What do I learn in this course?
After completing this course, you know how to use:
- passive voice
- signalling words (zo, anders, daarom)
- relative subclauses (het boek dat, de man die, de weg waar)
- reflexive verbs
- all the functions of zullen and zouden
After this course, you’re able to discuss and use vocabulary of the following topics:
- Environmental issues
- Energy sources and consumption
- Safety, criminality and aggression
- Traffic and traffic accidents
- Health
- The economy
- Dutch habits at the workplace
- Science & Research
After this course, you’re able to:
- give advice about trips, projects or purchases
- discuss the pros and cons of a plan or proposal
- state your preference
- make comparisons
- talk about charts and graphs
