“Make & Take Workshop” – Mexican Niches / Frames

This month, at Décor Amor’s “Make & Take” event, will be making Mexican niches or frames (your choice). This workshop is a nod to the many ways Mexico incorporates niches and folk-art frames into their décor. Made of stone, concrete, wood or tin, they often adorn homes, churches and even Mayan temples. For this project, we are going to utilize thick cardboard to make the niche or frame base and adornments. Your niche or frame can be made to look old with plaster, and/or colorfully painted to resemble fabulous folk art or cultivate a more modern look with decoupage. You can place a candle, art or photos inside.
Remember, taking time to be creative is a holistic way to manage life’s stresses, have fun and meet others. Make time for yourself and enjoy some jazz, sangria and meet others while enhancing your creativity! This is a chill workshop. We are all beginners. Everyone naturally has creativity wired into their being so consider giving yourself some time to explore it!

• Workshop Cost: $575 Pesos per person (all workshop supplies are provided plus endless sangria or other refreshments. Workshop is in English.
