Turumeke Harrington (Kāi Tahu, Rangitāne), returns to Stoddart Cottage Gallery to curate an exhibition of Ōhinehou artists, titled NO CRUISING ZONE.
Turumeke describes the exhibition as ‘loose musings’ on our small Port Town and the physical environment of Whakaraupō, to which the exhibition title playfully alludes.
Turumeke brings together a group of friends in collaboration, providing conversation between the artists and artworks, as well as insight into relationships, place and time. The exhibition will include printmaking, carving, ceramics, and sound.
The artists showing with Turumeke are Erin Broughton, Caitlin Bryne, Jesse De Thier-Hunt, Max Giles, Maree Henry, Liv Hunter, AJ Jacobson, Kiri Jarden, Barney Lenihan, Rebecca Nash, Zac Small, Emma Wallbanks, Caitlin Watters, Cam White and Ben Woods. This will be an immersive and engaging show.
Opening event 4pm Saturday August 30th. All welcome.
