About the event

Bel Canto in the City
Experience an unforgettable evening of music that bridges cultures, generations, and traditions. Featuring Olga Dyadiv (Soprano), David Soto Zambrana (Tenor), Antonio Montano (Baritone) three acclaimed opera singers—from the “Magda Olivero” International Opera Competition in Milan, Italy —accompanied by Yesuel Cha (Pianist), this performance brings to life some of the most beloved opera arias, crossover classics, and musical theatre favourites.

Presented in partnership with Dublin Central Mission of the Methodist Church in Ireland and Christ Church Cathedral, the event is part of a creative cultural initiative that celebrates beauty, diversity, and connection through shared musical experience.

Whether you’re a lifelong opera lover or simply curious to explore something new, Bel Canto in the City promises an inspiring evening of music that speaks to the soul and welcomes all.

Olga Dyadiv - Soprano studied at the Kiev National Academy of Music named after P. Tchaikovsky and has distinguished herself on the international stage as a prize-winner at prestigious competitions including the Concorso Toti Dal Monte (2017) and the Portofino Competition (2018). At the Opera and the National Academy in Kiev, she made her first debuts as the First Lady in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte and as Gilda in Rigoletto. A graduate of the Accademia Alberto Zedda in Pesaro, she went on to make her Rossini Opera Festival debut in Il viaggio a Reims. She has since appeared in leading roles such as Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor (Teatro Verdi, Trieste; Lukasch Fest, Lviv), Königin der Nacht in Die Zauberflöte (Chaikowski Hall, Kiev), and Brigitta in Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta (Teatro Comunale di Bologna). Recent engagements include Musetta in La Bohème, Giulietta in I Capuleti e i Montecchi, and the Comtesse in Rossini’s Le Comte Ory under the baton of Oksana Lyniv, with whom she also collaborated in the international project Mozart for Solidarity. In 2024 she was a finalist in the “Magda Olivero” International Opera Competition in Milan (Italy).

Antonio Montano is a Baritone and theologian whose career bridges music, theology, and mission. Since 2012 he has been a board member of the "Magda Olivero" International Opera Competition in Milan (Italy), serving as a jury member in 2024. Alongside his artistic career, Antonio holds degrees in Theology, and Biblical and Theological Sciences and is currently pursuing a doctorate at the University of Cambridge. He has worked as a mission leader in Italy and Germany within Methodist churches, and since 2023 has served as Pioneer Mission Leader with the Methodist Church in Ireland (Dublin Central Mission), where he develops inclusive, culturally relevant ministries through community care, music, and missional enterprise.
