This practical crash course teaches master’s students how to use DTU’s HPC cluster effectively. The session is hands-on: you will follow short demos and complete exercises that walk you through connecting to the cluster, transferring files, running batch jobs, and creating virtual Python environments.
Learning objectives:
• Understand basic Linux terminal commands and safe usage practices.
• Connect to the HPC cluster from campus and from off-campus (secure connection and eduroam considerations).
• Transfer files securely between your laptop and the cluster.
• Create, submit, and monitor batch jobs.
• Set up and use virtual environments for reproducible experiments.
• Complete guided exercises to build confidence using the cluster.
