Commissioned by the American Guild of Organists and based on Washington Irving’s classic tale, this haunting piece received its premiere in 2024 at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. This marks its 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐞!⁣

𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭:⁣
𝐏𝐞𝐠𝐠𝐲 𝐇𝐚𝐚𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥 is Organist and Choirmaster at St. John’s and Director of the Cantate Children’s and Youth Choir. A distinguished recitalist in the U.S. and Europe, she serves as National Vice-President and Councillor for Competitions and New Music for the American Guild of Organists. Ms. Howell holds degrees from Susquehanna University and Union Theological Seminary, and studied in Hamburg, Germany. Her organ teachers include James Boeringer, Heinz Wunderlich, Charles Dodsley Walker, Cherry Rhodes, and Harald Vogel.⁣
