A captivating one day workshop exploring watercolour techniques with Natural History Artist, James Winrow.

Taking inspiration from the Museum’s collection of John Gould’s bird prints, in this compelling workshop, learn to add colour and life to a drawing of a bird in the medium of watercolour.

Using the same process and techniques that the famous naturalist illustrators did in the 19th Century, learn to apply subtle washes of watercolour and how to blend them, as well as the application of finer detail.

You will leave with a coloured jewel of a bird picture and greater experience with watercolour tools and techniques.
