B-Roll Footage Session

Join us at Swim for a fun B-Roll Footage Session on June 27, 2025 at 1:30PM.

We will pair up and take turns filming each other, drinking coffee, walking on the beach, in the streets etc, so you can go home with enough footage for a month of social media content.What's a b-roll? b roll are videos of you doing different things, on which you can add some text to create reels and stories for social media.

Bring whatever filming equipment you would like to use.

Top tips to film b-roll:

• Make a list of shots you would like to get, so you come down with a plan and can guide your "b-roller buddy"
• Film the same scene using different angles: close up, over heard, wide angle
• Film each shot for 10sec
• Wipe the camera lens before filming
• Include movement/action in each shot
• Don't look at the camera when you're being filmed
• Leave negative space around the person you're filming so they can add text
• Film in 4k but turn off HDR (if using iphone turn on "most compatible")
