Tintern - The Angidy Trail

On the 28th May we will be taking a minibus trip to the beautiful Wye Valley and exploring the landscape of Tintern. The walk is called The Angidy Trail. The walk details as follows -

Enjoy a 6.5 mile (approx 3 hour) circular walk through the industrial landscape of the Wye Valley at Tintern. Produced by Wye Valley National Landscape, the walk takes you from the car park of the Anchor pub the £5 parking ticket can be redeemed at the bar (one of the most important industrial sites in the Wye Valley), up the scenic Angidy Valley following a scenic river past sleepy cottages and old stone bridges to Abbey Tintern Furnace, passing numerous industrial remains along the way.

You'll then descend back down the wooded valleyside to the River Wye, passing the iconic Tintern Abbey and ruined remains of St. Mary's Church. There is a pub where we park the bus which will be able to have lunch or tea in and I will let you know in due course. We will be picking up the minibus at 8am and picking up along the main road through Tonteg to Beddau.
