Oakraven was previously a school called The Plump Hill school and was built and opened in 1878. More classes were opened in 1890.
The school closed in 1984, but operated as Plump Hill Environment Centre until 2011. The site was reopened in 2014 as the Oakraven Field Centre.
Oakraven borders the Forest of Dean and the village of Mitcheldean is 1 mile from the centre.
There is also a history of witches and witchcraft in the area but I shall leave that there!!
Paranormal occurrences include children's voices, footsteps, shadow figures and items being moved from one place to another. Figures have been seen moving outside and around the centre and also knocks and taps have been heard on a regular basis!!
£110 includes accommodation for 2 nights, breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings, snacks on the Friday evening, a delicious 3 course banquet on the Saturday evening plus two full nights of pure investigation. As a bonus there will be workshops on the Saturday during the day.
