An exhibition of sculptures by members of the Cotswold Sculptors Association, inspired by the life and work of Edward Jenner.
Exhibition open 13th April - 13th September 2025, Sun-Wed 11am-4pm
Free admission with Museum entry, please see the museum website for details
Set in the historic garden of Dr Jenner’s House in Berkeley, where the pioneer of vaccination against smallpox lived and told the world about his work.
The house is now a museum telling the story of not only vaccination but his many interests, from ballooning to fossil hunting. See
https://jennermuseum.com for details.
An exciting collection of brand new work
Starting with Jenner’s spirit of experimentation, as the title quote; 18 artists took up the challenge to break with their normal practice and take an original approach.
Their individual approaches are stunningly varied and encourage the visitor to also see Jenner through a fresh lens.
Meet the Maker week
If you visit in the week between Sunday 27th July to Sunday 3rd August (open Sun-Weds) there’s a good chance you’ll have the opportunity to speak to one or more artists about their inspiration and art practice and watch a demonstration.
THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE WORK: SHARING A PASSION FOR SCULPTURE
Created by a group of artists from the Cotswold Sculptors Association. The wider association is an inclusive non-profit, run by its artist-members in the Cotswolds and beyond, to promote the making and appreciation of sculpture in its many forms. We support each other in our artistic practice, by creating connections, sharing inspiration and opportunities to show our work with the world.
