Join us for a Longform Improv Workshop where you will have the opportunity to challenge yourself and stretch your skills!
Longform is a continuous improvised piece which is inspired from one or minimal suggestions. This differs to shortform where the games are defined for both the audience and the improvisers from the outset. In longform improv, the possibilities are truly endless with characters reappearing in different scenes, a main plot running in parallel to subplots, and different scenes and stories magically connected by improvisers. Sound challenging? It is, but it’s also incredibly thrilling and you’ll be amazed at the creative stories you will create with your fellow improvisers. In this workshop we will cover a specific longform format and you will have the opportunity to try it out in a safe, supportive and creative environment. Just like all our Dig Deep workshops, you can expect two hours of fun, creativity, learning and forming new connections with people here in Luxembourg.

Location: Rocas. Join your classmates before or after class for some drinks and snacks and unwind.
Your teacher: Melissa Dalton is an improviser, actor, voiceover artist, event host and radio presenter originally from Ireland and now based in Luxembourg. Melissa holds a BA in Drama and Theatre Studies from Trinity College Dublin and an MA in Acting from Guildford School of Acting (GSA). Additionally, she completed further Improv training with Hoopla, regularly performing at the Miller Theatre London and was a member of the Improv troupe Ricochet. She now performs with Luxembourg’s English-language improv troupe The Garage Gang, of which she is a founding member. She teaches regular improv courses, teambuilding workshops and 1-1 training through her organisation Dig Deep Improv with companies such as the EIB, University of Luxembourg, Amazon, and ArcelorMittal. Melissa has performed widely in Ireland and the UK in film, commercials and theatres including The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Finborough Theatre, The National Concert Hall and The Vaults. TV, Commercial and Voiceover work includes Aldi, Cinch, Royal London, Salesforce and RTE. She is the host and producer of The Melissa Dalton Show on Today Radio by RTL.

What language is the workshop in? English
Do I have to be a native speaker or fluent? Definitely not
I have experience in acting, stand-up comedy, singing, public speaking etc - will this workshop be useful to me? Yes our workshops are not just for improvisers, and will be helpful for other performers or people who just want to try it out.
Do I have to buy a ticket in advance? Booking in advance is advised so we know how many people to expect on the night. If there are not enough tickets booked in advance the event may not go ahead
