Building on the foundations of movement from Day 1, this workshop delves deeper into breathwork, relaxation, and specialized teaching strategies for seniors. Designed for yoga teachers, caregivers, and older adults, this session focuses on the therapeutic aspects of yoga, helping participants cultivate resilience, ease, and a deeper connection to breath and mindfulness.
This workshop will explore:
Understanding Adaptive Yoga: Learn how to tailor yoga practices for those with mobility challenges, chronic conditions, or injuries.
The Breath-Body Connection: Explore pranayama techniques to enhance lung capacity, support circulation, and promote relaxation.
Mindfulness & Emotional Well-being: Engage in meditation, guided relaxation, and mudras that calm the nervous system and improve focus.
Restorative & Gentle Practices: Experience supported postures, chair-assisted yoga, and relaxation techniques to reduce tension and fatigue.
Teaching Strategies & Practical Application: Gain insights into leading adaptive yoga in different settings, including private sessions, senior centers, and therapeutic environments.
