UK Centre For Carnival Arts
3 Saint Mary's Road, Luton, United Kingdom
Hosted by the UK Centre for Carnival Arts, a free creative workshop led by director Sarah Amankwah and Omnibus Theatre. Building on the themes of DRUM, the workshop encourages participants to explore their own stories of migration, identity, and belonging through storytelling exercises, and group discussion. It’s a fun, social, and inclusive space for everyone—no experience necessary.
“A civilization flourishes when men plant trees under which they themselves never sit. What you need to understand is, Ghana is home.”
DRUM is a new play from award-nominated writer Jacob Roberts Mensah (DEM TIMES, Our Day) and Sarah Amankwah (recent acting credits include Lion King, West End; Black Earth Rising, Netflix; Henry V, Shakespeare’s Globe) making her directorial debut.
