One of DC’s long-time favorite frontmen, 5-time International Blues Challenge Finalist, and multi-award winning guitarist, Mike grew up in Rockville as a child of passionate working musicians. He spent countless hours spinning 45s and LPs from his parents’ extensive record collection—Rock, Soul, Country and Jazz and everything in between. Mike began collecting his musical skills like bottle caps, playing drums, piano, saxophone, bass, and guitar while performing simultaneously in jazz band, marching band, concert band, and orchestra. His mother made sure that he had the instruments necessary to continue his musical journey. It was the guitar, however, that stole his heart, and Mike developed his own dynamic and expressive style steeped in the sounds of 60s and 70s guitar royalty.
