ZAMBIA AND MALAWI U21 NETBALL TEAMS TO CLASH IN EXCITING FRIENDLY SERIES AHEAD OF WORLD YOUTH CUP
Netball Zambia, in partnership with the Netball Association of Malawi, is proud to announce a thrilling series of international friendly matches between the Zambia Under-21 and Malawi Under-21 national netball teams.
The three-match series is scheduled to take place on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd August, 2025 at OYDC Zambia in Lusaka, and promises to be a showcase of rising African talent on the global stage.
These matches form part of the two nations’ intensive preparations for the Netball World Youth Cup, which will be held in Gibraltar from 19th to 28th September, 2025.
Africa will be proudly represented at the tournament by South Africa, Malawi, and Zambia, following their qualification during the continental championships held in March 2024.
Speaking on the development, Netball Zambia Secretary General Pritchard Ngoma noted:
"This is a significant milestone in our continued efforts to elevate youth netball in Zambia. These friendlies will provide our girls with the much-needed exposure and competitive experience as we build towards the World Youth Cup."
The public is encouraged to come out in numbers and support the young Queens as they take on one of the continent’s top sides in what promises to be a high-energy, skill-packed series.
