Join Coastal Action and Torpedo Rays Scuba Adventures for a BioBlitz!
🌊Coastal Action is working on a perspective-gathering project, examining the marine environment in this region and we want to hear from you! The area has been identified by Fisheries and Oceans Canada as ecologically and biologically significant, and we want to know how people use the area, what they value about it, and how they would feel about the development of a conservation plan for the marine environment.
🐟Come learn more about our project and help us document the local wildlife while exploring the world below the waves.
☕Warm drinks and snacks will be provided, but please bring your own gear (wetsuits, snorkels, tanks, etc.), cameras, and a phone or similar device to add photos to our iNaturalist project.
🚗Parking is limited, so please plan accordingly, and there are no washroom facilities on-site. Dependent on conditions, the event location may change. Watch for updates!
🤿Whether you’re a beach-comber, SCUBA diver, freediver, snorkeller, or just wish you’d been born with gills and fins, everyone is welcome. We’re excited to see you and all the little critters you find! See you there!
