Working in rural Australia presents unique challenges and risks, from handling livestock and machinery to limited access to water and significant distances from emergency services. This specialised two-day course, HLTAID013 Provide First Aid in Remote and Isolated Site, is specifically designed to equip you with the distinct skills and training needed to respond effectively should something go wrong in a remote setting.
The training will cover both standard and advanced first aid skills, including:
* Prolonged casualty management
* Emergency service coordination
* Management of major bleeding
* Risk planning
* CPR
* Casualty movement
* Multi-casualty incident response
This course is deliberately different from standard first aid training offered in urban centres, focusing on the realities of remote and farming work environments.
