Birding for Beginners

Join Sabine-Neches Master Naturalists for an introduction into the fastest growing activity in the nation -Birding! Learn about common birds in the Hardin County area, how to use binoculars, and new phone apps like eBird, Merlin and Audubon. Then take a short walk to see what birds you can identify.

Bringing personal binoculars and sharing among groups is encouraged; limited numbers will be available. The program will meet at the Village Creek State Park picnic pavilion and is suitable for all ages and skill levels. It is free with park entry; there is no need to register.

$4 Entry fee per person 13 and older apply, 12 and under free.
